Doordash hired me to come out and shoot this fantastic store, adding another great option to my growing boba recommendations list.
When I shoot food and drinks at restaurants, we always try to minimize waste by shooting only the drink colors (for example) that are distinct enough to show up on camera. In this case, we hoped the yellows and oranges would be distinct in the photo, but once the drink came off the line, we knew there would be a close similarity. Not wanting to waste what was already made, nor to deceive buyers with a fake, we simply used what was made and moved forward.
We did reuse these few cups throughout the shoot for all 20+ drinks, so that at the least we didn’t add to the trash or recycle more than needed.
